Customizations

Other things companies can do to customize their Beeline Routes to get the most out of it for their business.

Beeline Routes offers several custom settings to help align how Beeline works with how you run your business. These are behind the scenes settings that Beeline can set for you. Just reach out about any of these and we can update them for you.

Rounding:

By default, Beeline rounds the arrival times of jobs to the nearest 5 minutes. This can be adjusted between 1, 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minutes. So instead of telling your customer you'll be there at 2:20pm, it will round to 2:15, or 2:30 depending on your setting.

Crew member start times:

By default when you select a start time of 8am for a crew member, that means their first job will be at 8am. This means the crew member needs to start their day earlier to account for the drive time to get them to the first job at 8am. If instead you want the crew member to start driving at 8am, and arrive to the first job later, say 8:20am with drive time, we can set that for you as well. We call this Dispatch timing.

Events:

By default we treat any event assigned to a crew member as meaning that crew member can't be assigned jobs during that time, like when using BestFit. We can change that to "vacation mode" where the event has to say something like "Vacation", "Holiday", "OOO", "Time Off" in order to indicate the crew can't get jobs during that time.

Unscheduled Jobs and Estimates:

By default Beeline will try to load in all the unscheduled jobs and estimates from your CRM. If you have a lot of them, > 500 or so, this adds a lot of load time to our pages. If you're not using the feature we can disable them so we don't sit and load them whenever you navigate our site.

Override Duration:

If all of your jobs have the same duration, and specifically are short, then we can set an override duration for your jobs. So if you have jobs that are defined in your CRM as 30 minutes, but really they're only 5 minutes, we can set an override duration of 5 minutes in Beeline. This will make our system create routes knowing the jobs are actually only 5 minutes long.

If that's the only change, then when you Confirm Routes back to your CRM, we won't adjust the duration of the jobs. So the jobs will overlap on the calendar view. They'll start 5 minutes staggered from each other so you can still see the order of the jobs and the route.

We also have the ability to save the override duration. So when you click Confirm Routes we'll update the duration of those jobs as well.

Days of the Week:

When you onboard we'll try our best to understand if you work weekends. We sometimes get this wrong. So if you are using BestFit, and we're suggesting Saturdays, or if you want to schedule for Saturday and we're not showing it as an option, let us know and we'll adjust what days of the week you're working.

Job Duration Based on Price:

We can include a field in Beeline where instead of setting the duration of a job in minutes, you set the value of the job, which follows an equation for the duration. So if you tell us that jobs are $100 per 30 minutes. Then when creating a job, you enter $150 for the value, we'll know to set the duration to 45 minutes for you. So you can think of jobs as value and not time.
